Swimming Pool At Trivandrum (Water Works Swimming Pool)

This is the only pool that citizen of Trivandrum depended upon, but sports authority has got other plans. They have shattered this pool around 2 years back to build a new pool to prepare for National Games. I do not know when the National Games is going to happen and I also do not know when this pool will become real swimming poole. Photo taken on October 12, 2011.

പരീക്ഷയും പിന്നെ കുറെ കൂറ രാഷ്ട്രിയ പാര്‍ട്ടികളും

ഇന്ന് ഉച്ചക്ക് രണ്ടു മണിക്ക് എനിക്ക് പി എസ് സി യുടെ ഒരു പരീക്ഷ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. നമ്മുടെ നാട്ടില്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ തിരഞ്ഞിടുപ്പിന്റെ സമയം ആണല്ലോ !! എന്റെ പരീക്ഷ നടന്ന സ്കൂളിന്റെ മുന്‍ വശത്ത് (കമലേശ്വരം സ്കൂള്‍ ) തന്നെ ഇടത്‌ വലത് മുന്നണികളുടെ ചേട്ടന്മാര്‍ കാറില്‍ വന്നു നിന്ന് ഉച്ചഭാഷനിയില്‍ കൂടെ പ്രചരണം ആരംഭിച്ചു. എന്തൊരു മര്യാദ !!! ഞാന്‍ ചിന്തിച്ചു - നേതാക്കന്മാരെ പോലെ അണികള്‍ക്കും വിവരം ഇല്ലാതായോ ? കൂടുതല്‍ ചിന്തിക്കാന്‍ ഉള്ള സമയം ഇല്ലാത്തതിനാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ പരീക്ഷ എന്ന കടമ്പ കടക്കാന്‍ ഉള്ള ശ്രമം തുടങ്ങി. അപ്പോളും സ്കൂളിനു പുറത്തു ആര്‍ക്കോ വേണ്ടി ഇടതും വലതും മാറി മാറി ബഹളം കൂട്ടുന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒരു കാര്യം ഉറപ്പായിരുന്നു.... നേതാക്കന്മാരും അണികളും ലോകവിവരത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ വളരെ പുറകില്‍ ആണെന്ന് എനിക്ക് മനസിലായി, പാവപെട്ട തൊഴില്‍ തെണ്ടികള്‍, തൊഴി(ലിനു) വേണ്ടി കഷ്ട്ടപെടുമ്പോള്‍ ഒരു ഉളുപ്പും ഇല്ലാതെ നട്ടുച്ചയ്ക്ക് ഉച്ചബാഷനിയില്‍ കൂടി ഭാവി തൊഴിലാളികളെ ശല്യം ചെയ്യുന്ന രണ്ടു മ്ലേച്ച പാര്‍ട്ടികള്‍ അല്ലാതെ പ്രേതെകിച്ചു വേറെ ഒരു ലേബലും ഇവര്‍ക്ക് കൊടുക്കാന്‍ ഞാന്‍ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ല. ജയ് ഹിന്ദ്‌.

AN “OFFICE BUS” – ONLY IN TRIVANDRUM !!

This is the office of Station Master, KSRTC (Kerala State Road Transport Corporation), Medical College, Trivandrum which has been functioning in an old KSRTC Bus parked near the road side of Medical College. The Station Master has got one chair and one table for his official use. It has been estimated that around 40 buses starts from this point to different parts of Trivandrum. And also around 200 buses are going through this “Bus Station”.

In this office, two officers are working in rotational shift (no night shifts). There have been no basic amenities for the KSRTC workers and those who use KSRTC for daily traveling.

Note: The advantage of this kind of office is that it does not need any electricity or water!!!

It is around 4:55 pm with summertime sunshine in April, yet the Milma people is not able to see the surroundings due to darkness and no wonder they illuminated all the lights just before the inauguration of their new Lab facility in Pattom Office.
